Ian Surgery December 2nd 2008

Well, the day is among us. Ian goes in for surgery this Tuesday December 2nd at 7am. He is just having tubes put in, but who likes to see thier little baby being put under? Anyway, I have talked to alot of people about the proceedure and feel pretty okay witht it. Plus ever since our consultation last week with the specialist, GOD has been giving me SO MANY signs that this is the right thing to do. Everytime he sneezed it's like his face EXPLODES and there is snot EVERYWHERE! Sorry about the graphics, but it's true.

Thanksgiving was super fun. We went to aunt Missy's and everyone except uncle Adam was therel; he had to work. All Ian's cousins WORE HIM OUT! It is so nice to watch him interact with other children, also it gives me a break.

Saturday Brian and I went Christmas shopping for Ian. That was so much fun! We had to be careful though, we nearly had every toy for his age group in our 2 buggies! Brian and I managed to scale it back to just one buggie full of toys before we left the store!

Ian said .....

11/17/2008

Ian said "Hi Tater" plain as day, un prompted. Ian had a piece of paper in his hand, walked by tater, looked at him, waved and said "Hi Tater!" He then laughed and ran.

I am speechless.

I chose to keep a pose of him getting up and running into the camera, b/c he is into everything and will not sit still. I want to remember that about him forever. When he reached the photographer he put his fingers all over the camera to "work on it"!

Well, today marks Ian's very first full day in the toddler room at day care. I think the entire Infant room staff and myself took it much harder than he did. He LOVES the Tod's! Ian was beginning to be a buly to the other babies in the infant room, taking thier passies running holding it high in the air like "HAHA, it's MINE now, you imovabable one!" Yeah, he was bored in there for about the last two weeks. Now the babies in the infant room are safe.
Ian is the smallest toddler in his next class. Yesterday during his two hour play date with the Tods, Ian was being pushed around by another bored child who is moving to the next step room (Almost Two's). He is much bigger than Ian. Miss Jennifer said that Ian waited patiently until (I will call him Bigger Boy) Bigger Boy was done picking on him. then when Bigger Boy turned his attention to someone else, Ian walked up to him (from behind of course) and gave him the hardest shove he could. Now, while I don't condone pushing people from the front or the back, I laughed when I heard this, but then of course asking if Bigger Boy was okay. He was. He he. So on the way home we had to discuss how it's not nice to push people and be mean to others even if they are not being nice to us. We must love and be kind to all people just like God is kind and loves all people. Then we sang ' Noah's Arky Arky' Song.

Monday we went to the doctor for Ian's 12 month well check. He weighs 18.5 pounds and is in the 4th% of his age group - my little bitty guy!

Tonight we went to Target to do some Christmas shopping. This is something that Brian and I both love to do, shop for other people. It was so much fun! I think because I don't get out much let alone spend money, so I was on a high for about 2 hours! Brian kept putting toys for Ian in the buggy, and I kept taking them out. An older couple watched and laughed at us, I guess they went threw that too. I think Brian forgot we weren't there for Ian.

Wednesday Ian and I stayed home. I missed my Fellowship class (AGAIN), Brian had to work and I didn't have a sitter. Taking Ian was OUT OF THE QUESTION, that child could get dirt dirty!

Sorry about the inconsistantcy of this blog, it's how I think alot of the time. Well, lately anyway.

BIRTHDAY PHOTOS!!

AC: After Cake (and ice cream!)

BC: Before Cake!

FINALLY, I had my picture taken with my neat cake. Daddy praised mommy on the set up, I think she did a pretty good job too! Notice how clean I am right now.

Then, Daddy gave me the best gift ever! I had so much fun learning to push the button to make my new 4 wheeler go! I chased Tater and mommy and daddy too!

Then I watched daddy assemble my 8 foot tunnel, we SO played in that for a while! Mommy bought me a Calipso, but she thinks I might be a bit young still.

First we had spaghetti for lunch!
We were supposed to have my party at my aunt Missy's, but that didn't work out, so we stayed home.

Where did my baby go?

Ian turns ONE today! I cannot believe it. I remember his arrival like it was yesterday. He has grown so much and changes everday. We are all sick today, so no cake and ice cream until tomorrow at his party. I will post pictures sometime this weekend. Well, it's a short one, I am being called by Ian.
