Christmas Day 2008

I woke up at 8:30 am. Momma positioned her self at the ready with her camera and daddy brought me down stairs. Wow, what a sight! All I could say was "Uh-Oh!" and I couldn't get to the floor fast enough!
Daddy helped me touch everything, make them work and I just couldn't decide what toys to start with and which ones to end with! It was kind of overwhelming for me.

I kept going back and forth...
..and back again.
Tater even got a toy! He was so happy he ran all over the house, bronco bullied, and jumped into momma's frame.
Finally, momma and dadda separated me from all the toys and gave me a few at a time so it didn't stress me out so bad. Being a kid is pretty tough. I loved all my new toys but sometimes the very best ones.........
....are the most over looked. This is my Tater-Pony! He let me pretend to ride the Tater X-press about 5 times before getting up, which at that point I fell to the floor. But I wasn't hurt, I just laughed.
Mimi sent me this cool cars pj's and matching house coat. The car lights up red!
Santa brought more balls for my castle! Now I can run and jump in without getting hurt.
I played very hard all day while momma made dinner and dadda watched me and played his Xbox 360. Our super friends, Jonathan and Julie came over for a Christmas ham and all the home made fixins! Dad says momma is a pretty darn great cook when she has the time. I have everything I could get my hands on and ended my day with home made chocolate cheese cake Yummy! I have learned to sign when I want more, and thank - you. I am currently working on please. I have also decided to practing blowing kisses and giving kisses. Momma eats it up!

Chicago Trip 2008

Here is where I spent most of my money: for Ian of course!

Trump Tower in Chicago in the far distance. We did a lot of walking the city and eating at some pretty great places that are indicative of the area. Like Giordanos for Pizza, Tizzi Milloul and Fogo D'Choa for dinner, Seven on Heaven and Mary's Cafe for breakfast. All are great and a must do if you ever have the chance.
Friday was pretty wet and sloshy from the mornings rain/snow. It didn't get cold until Sunday, 15 below 0 cold! My nose hairs even froze! We did a ton of shopping, it was pretty overcast so we are going to save the Sears Tower, Water Tower for another visit. We returned on Sunday, and with only a 2 hour delay! We got back just in time, today the news has said that overnight delays are likely! Boy are we lucky!
When Jonathan sends me the pictures he took, i will add more to this section. I was too busy shopping to stop and take any pictures.
Ian spent his time with Matthew, Maura, Aunt Missy and Uncle Frank. Matthew taught him how to run and jump into a bean bag, which Ian showed me his new skill the minute I walked into the door to pick him up. Ian also learned that constantly going into Maura's room and messing with her stuff is a lot of fun too. There has been report of a dessert "jacking" while Uncle Frank ate his 8 o'clock snack, there was lip spacking and leg tapping from Ian "allegedly". Matthew maintains he had no involvement with this incident and Ian acted alone. There were no children harmed, just dessert eaten. The victim, Uncle Frank, states "I don't remember much, just a cry of cowabunga, I think I saw a babies foot then everything went black." Reports say that Ian maintains his innocence saying "Uncle Frank should have waited until certain people had gone to bed, and maybe he wouldn't have been dessert jacked - allegedly. I am innocent - does anyone know if there are any left overs from said dessert?"

We have been sick......

Well, we have been ill in the Waltrip household. Finally I think it's over. Ian is still vomiting a little, but I think it's because he has decided to eat until his belly is hard. I have had to ration his food and monitor exactly how much he eats at home.

Ian has learned the phrase 'Stop It', only his version is " 'TOP IT". He likes to tell Tater to 'Top It after he has been knocked to the floor from all the puppy kisses - YUCK! Oh and yes, he tells me " 'TOP IT, Momma!" When I put him in his car seat. He can finally tell me what he really thinks when I strap him in and he can't move - " 'TOP IT Momma! "

His comical side is coming out. Now when he is finished eating he will say "Awe Done" and proceed to swipe everything from his high chair onto the floor, while laughing telling Tater to " 'Top it."

My child the comedian!

I met Santa today...not sure i liked it.

So handsome! I don't know how I do it, but I manage to get the pictures backwards. I guess when I have time to play with this, I may finally figure it out.
Ready to go home.
Then it was off to Red Robbin, Ian ate an entire burger with cheese - minus the bun. He was happy to get his ballon.
Dadda is ALWAYS the safest place!
I suppose he didn't feel quite safe enough, because then he decided that under the table was the best place to hide.
After We put him down, he ran from Santa, found the nearest chair and decided he was safe, at least for the moment. Ian was unsure of Santa. He lasted oh, about 3 seconds before doing that thing kids to when they don't like being held.

Turkey Day pics - Finally!

Ian Deceided to help clean up!

First off, Ian woke up today happy, smiling, and jabbering up a storm. Today will be much better than yesterday. I did take that much needed nap yesterday while he was asleep, the extra rest helped me when he had his 3rd 2 hour tantrum of the day; but I rested and was ready for it!
Now for Thanksgiving pictures, I had to rely on Aunt Anita's skillz because I, being the greatest mom ever - well I forgot mine!
